PARENT POD
A Research Community for Parents Rethinking Middle School Education
For parents of children in Grades 3–8 who sense something is off—but can't articulate what.
Not a support group. Not tips or hacks. Not therapy.
Just clarity, strategy, and a community of parents asking the same hard questions.

The Problem You Can't Articulate
You can’t point to a crisis. There’s no dramatic failure.
Your child isn’t failing. The report card looks fine.
But you feel it:
- The gap between the marks and the actual learning
- The gap between the busyness and the growth
- The gap between what school promises and what your child is becoming
You’ve tried:
- More tuition
- Different teachers
- Better study schedules
- Stricter discipline
Nothing changes.
Because you’re trying to solve the wrong problem.
What is Parent Pod?
A year-long research community for parents of children in Grades 3–8. We're not selling you a program. We're building one—in public—and inviting you to be part of the process.
What you get
Every Monday: Research Notes
800–1,200 word deep dives on what we’re learning from:
- Workshops with 200+ parents across Ghaziabad, Meerut, Delhi
- Diagnostics with 100+ students (comprehension gaps, cognitive challenges, math anxiety)
- School pilots testing alternative pedagogies
- Field observations from classrooms, parent conversations, teacher interviews
Not generic parenting advice. Not motivational fluff.
Real research. Real patterns. Real insights.
Delivered straight to your inbox every Monday morning.
Last Sunday of Every Month: Live Q&A (90 Minutes)
Ask anything:
- “My child scores well but doesn’t understand concepts—what’s happening?”
- “How do I talk to teachers about this without sounding vague?”
- “Should I keep my child in school or pull them out?”
- “What’s the difference between performance and learning?”
These aren’t webinars. They’re conversations.
You bring questions. We think through them together. Other parents share what they’re trying.
All sessions recorded (if you can’t attend live).
Community Access
You’re not alone in this.
Connect with other parents who:
- Sense the same gap you do (marks ≠ learning)
- Are questioning the same assumptions (more tuition ≠ more learning)
- Are looking for strategic clarity (not just reassurance)
Discussion happens in the Substack comment section (paid members only).
This is where the real value emerges—parents helping parents, sharing what’s working, thinking through challenges together.

Why We're Building This
Most education companies sell you solutions.
We’re doing something different: Building solutions in public, with parents as research partners.
Here’s what we’re testing:
- Can a 4-week growth mindset intervention reduce math anxiety in Grade 7 students?
- What do parents actually want? (40-week Sunday program? Micro-school? After-school franchise?)
- Which pedagogical approaches work in mainstream schools vs. alternative settings?
- What are the real barriers to alternative education in India?
You get access to this research as it unfolds.
Not polished final reports. Not sanitized case studies.
The messy, honest, in-progress work of figuring out what actually helps children learn.
What Happens When You Join
Step 1: Watch the Free Webinar (60 Minutes)
“The Middle School Problem: Why Your Child Isn’t Really Learning (And What You Can Actually Do)”
We’ll walk you through:
- The three root causes of why students struggle (it’s not what you think)
- Why school + tuition doesn’t solve the problem (and what does)
- What real learning foundations look like (beyond marks and grades)
- What you can control as a parent (and what you can’t)
- What happens next (diagnostic, community, programs)
This webinar is the foundation. Everything else builds from here.
Step 2: Apply to Join
This isn’t a mass community. We assess for alignment.
Simple application form (5 minutes):
- What made you interested in this community?
- What’s your biggest concern about your child’s education?
- What have you tried so far? Why didn’t it work?
- What are you hoping to find here?
We maintain a high-quality community through a simple application process. Not everyone is a fit—and that’s okay. If at any point you’re not aligned with the community’s direction, we’ll part ways respectfully (with a full refund).
Step 3: Join Free for 3 Months
No payment required upfront.
Full access to:
- Weekly research notes (every Monday)
- Monthly live Q&A (last Sunday)
- Community discussion (Substack comments)
- All perks (discounts, priority access)
For 3 months, you experience the community with zero financial commitment.
See if this is for you. See if the research resonates. See if the community adds value.
Step 4: Month 4 - Decision Point
After 3 months, you choose:
Option A: Stay → Auto-renew at ₹1,999/year (₹166/month)
Option B: Leave → Cancel anytime, no questions asked, zero hard feelings
That’s it.
No pressure. No upsells. No “limited time offers.”
Just: Does this add value to your thinking about your child’s education? If yes, stay. If no, leave.
This Is NOT...
❌ A parenting support group
❌ Motivational content or quick hacks
❌ A complaint session about schools
❌ Therapy or emotional processing
❌ A sales funnel for expensive programs
This IS FOR YOU IF...
✅ Your child is in Grades 3–8 (the critical middle school window)
✅ You sense something is off with their education—but can’t name it clearly
✅ Your child gets decent marks—but you suspect they’re not really learning
✅ You’re paying for tuition—but it feels hollow
✅ You want clarity and strategy—not reassurance or tips
✅ You’re willing to question your assumptions (even uncomfortable ones)
✅ You value research and evidence over anecdotes and opinions
✅ You’re ready to think deeply—not just consume content
What You'll Walk Away With (After 6-12 Months)
By staying engaged with this community over time, you’ll develop:
Diagnostic Clarity
You’ll be able to name what’s actually wrong (and what’s working) with your child’s education.
Not vague anxiety. Not generic concerns.
Specific, articulate understanding: “My child has strong computation skills but weak comprehension of word problems. This is a decoding issue, not a math issue.”
Mental Frameworks
You’ll have language and concepts to think clearly about education:
- The difference between learning and performance
- The difference between depth and speed
- What schools can do vs. what they can’t do
- What you can control vs. what you must let go
Strategic Options
You’ll know your options—and the trade-offs of each:
- Stay in school + supplement strategically (how?)
- Homeschool or micro-school (is this viable for your context?)
- Alternative programs (which ones are real, which are marketing?)
- When to act, when to wait
Community Support
You’ll have a network of parents who:
- Understand what you’re navigating (no need to explain from scratch)
- Are trying different approaches (you learn from their experiments)
- Think strategically (not just emotionally reacting)
Access to Real Alternatives
Based on this research. If we build programs (Foundation Program, micro-school, workshops), you’ll have:
- Early access (first to know, first to enroll)
- Discounted pricing (community members pay less)
- Insider context (you’ve seen the research, you know why we built it this way)
Format & Investment
Format:
- Weekly research notes (email, every Monday, 800-1,200 words)
- Monthly live Q&A (Zoom, last Sunday of month, 90 minutes, recorded)
- Community discussion (Substack comments, members only)
- Exclusive perks (discounts, priority access, behind-the-scenes research)
Investment:
- First 3 months: ₹0 (completely free, no payment required)
- After Month 3: ₹1,999/year (₹166/month equivalent)
- Cancel anytime (no questions asked, full refund within first 3 months if you paid upfront by mistake)
That’s less than ₹200/month—less than two cups of coffee—for year-round access to research, community, and strategic clarity.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this online or in-person?
Online. Research notes are emailed (Substack). Live Q&As are on Zoom. Community discussion is in Substack comments. You can participate from anywhere.
What if I miss the monthly live Q&A?
All sessions are recorded and shared with members. Watch anytime.
How is this different from Parent Pod (the 7-day program)?
Parent Pod was a one-time intensive. Parent Community is ongoing, year-long access to research and discussion. Think of it as: Parent Pod was a sprint; Parent Community is a marathon.
Will this help my child’s marks improve?
Not directly. This community is not about marks. It’s about helping you see clearly what real learning is—and how to build it. Some parents report marks improving as a byproduct, but that’s not the goal.
Can you tell me exactly what research you’ll share each week?
No—because we’re building in real-time. What we share depends on what we’re learning from workshops, diagnostics, and school pilots. That’s the point: you get access to live research, not packaged content.
My child is in Grade 3—is that too early?
No. Grades 3–8 are the foundation years. The earlier you start thinking strategically, the better.
My child is in Grade 9—is it too late?
Not too late, but the window is narrower. This community focuses on middle school (Grades 3–8). For Grade 9+, the approach shifts to damage control + strategic exam navigation. Still valuable context, but not the primary focus.
What happens after 3 months if I don’t want to continue?
You simply cancel. No payment is charged. No hard feelings. You keep everything you received during the free trial (research notes, recordings).
What if I pay upfront and then realize it’s not for me?
Full refund, no questions asked, anytime within the first 3 months. After Month 3, refunds are prorated (if you paid annually and cancel in Month 6, you get 50% back).
Is there a limit to how many people can join?
Not a hard cap, but we assess each application. We’re building a high-quality community, not a mass audience. If you’re not aligned, we’ll let you know during the application review.
Can I join if I’m a teacher or school leader (not a parent)?
For Year 1, this community is for parents only. We may create a separate educator community later, but right now, we want to maintain a space where parents can speak freely without teachers present.
What if I can’t afford ₹1,999/year?
Email us at contact@edmonks.com. We offer a limited number of need-based scholarships (50% off) for families who are serious but financially constrained. You’ll need to explain why you can’t pay full price + commit to active participation.
What happens if you ask me to leave the community?
We reserve the right to remove members who are toxic, non-contributing, or misaligned. If we do, you get a full refund (even if you’re past the 3-month mark). This has never happened, but we want to keep the option to maintain community quality.
One Question That Will Tell You If This Is For You
If you could see clearly—beyond the marks, beyond the busyness, beyond the anxiety—what would you do differently for your child’s education?
If you have an answer (even a vague one), you’re ready for this community.
If you have no answer, you need this community.

This Is Just the Beginning
Parent Community is not the end of the journey.
It’s the space where you gain clarity—so you can make strategic decisions for your child.
After joining, you’ll see clearly:
- What the system is designed to do (and what it cannot do)
- What your child actually needs (vs. what everyone says they need)
- What you can control (and what you must let go)
- What your next step is—within the system, or beyond it
3 months free. ₹1,999/year after that. A completely different lens on education.
One Final Thought
You’ve been anxious about your child’s education for months—maybe years.
You’ve tried tuition. Different teachers. Stricter schedules.
Nothing has given you clarity.
Parent Community is not another quick fix.
It’s the research and thinking space that helps you see what’s actually happening—and what to do about it.
Join free for 3 months. See if it adds value. Decide later.
